Transforming Aerial Arts Through Faith and Purpose

Dear Eternal Aerial Arts Community,

I want to share something deeply personal with you today—the heart behind why Eternal Aerial Arts exists and why our mission means everything to me.

A Journey of Faith and Wrestling

When I first felt called to pursue aerial arts more seriously, I never imagined the internal battle that would unfold. Prayer became my constant companion as I navigated training spaces where I often found myself sitting in my car outside studios, asking God, "Do you really want me to go in there?"

The disconnect was profound. Here was this breathtakingly beautiful art form—one that showcased the incredible strength, grace, and artistry of the human body in ways that could inspire awe and wonder. Yet so often, I encountered environments where that same beauty was being twisted into something that reduced women to objects for entertainment, where the focus shifted from artistry to exploitation.

But God had a plan, even in those uncomfortable moments. In those very spaces where I wrestled with my convictions, I discovered I wasn't alone. Other women were navigating the same questions, holding onto their values while pursuing their passion for aerial arts. We found each other, bonded in our shared desire to bring light into these spaces, and together we held fast to our convictions about who God made us to be.

The Harsh Reality We're Addressing

The statistics surrounding women's objectification in our culture are staggering and heartbreaking. Recent research shows that 83% of American women report being targets of sexual harassment and assault, revealing how pervasive objectification has become in our society. When women are constantly reduced to their physical appearance for others' consumption, it damages not only how society views them but how they view themselves.

This objectification doesn't exist in a vacuum—it connects to even darker realities. Today, there are 49.6 million people in modern slavery worldwide, and 12 million of them are children. 54% of those trapped in modern slavery are women and girls, with about 75% of identified trafficking victims being female. The commercial sex industry, which often intersects with certain expressions of aerial arts, feeds directly into these systems of exploitation.

Art as a Choice: Light or Darkness

Here's what I know to be true: every art form—whether it's painting, music, dance, or aerial arts—has the power to reflect either light or darkness, depending on how it's used for expression. A paintbrush can create works that inspire the soul toward beauty and transcendence, or it can be used to create imagery that degrades and objectifies. Music can lift spirits to worship and wonder, or it can promote messages that tear down the human spirit.

Aerial arts is no different. This magnificent art form can be a vehicle for showcasing the strength, grace, and dignity that God has woven into every person. It can be a form of worship, a celebration of the body as fearfully and wonderfully made, a display of artistry that points to the Creator who gave us creativity itself.

The Vision: A Safe Haven for All

When God called me to open Eternal Aerial Arts, the vision was crystal clear: to create a space where aerial arts could be practiced and performed in ways that honor both the art form and the people practicing it. I wanted to build a studio where:

  • Adults and children alike feel safe, loved, and nurtured—never objectified or reduced to entertainment value
  • Every person is seen for who God made them to be—appreciated for their unique gifts, character, and inherent dignity
  • The beauty of aerial arts shines without compromise—showcasing strength, grace, and artistry in ways that inspire people to worship God rather than exploit performers
  • Families can trust the environment—knowing their daughters, sons, wives, and husbands are in a space that builds them up rather than tears them down

This is why we've structured our studio the way we have, from our dress codes that emphasize modesty and functionality, to our performance standards that celebrate artistry and worship over sensuality, to our community culture that values each person and their ability to shine a unique light into this darkened world.

Our Mission Beyond the Studio

Because the objectification of women connects to larger systems of exploitation and trafficking, we've made it our mission to be part of the solution beyond our studio walls. A portion of our monthly profits goes directly to Christian ministries working tirelessly against human trafficking and supporting survivors in their recovery journey.

Every month that we operate, every student who trains with us, every performance we give—it all contributes to fighting the very systems that have twisted beautiful art forms into tools of exploitation. We're not just teaching aerial arts; we're actively working against the objectification and trafficking of women and children.

The Ripple Effect

What excites me most is seeing the transformation that happens when people—especially young women—experience aerial arts in this environment. They discover strength they didn't know they had. They learn to move with grace and confidence. They push through challenges and celebrate victories. Most importantly, they do all of this while being valued for who they are, not for how they look or what entertainment value they might provide to others.

This is the aerial arts community I dreamed of when I sat in those parking lots, wrestling with God about whether I should walk through those studio doors. This is the answer to that prayer—a place where the art form can flourish in its full beauty without compromising the dignity of those who practice it.

Looking Forward

As we continue to grow, I'm filled with hope for how God will use Eternal Aerial Arts to continue transforming not just individual lives, but the broader aerial arts community. Every student who learns here carries this vision with them wherever they go. Every performance we give shows audiences that aerial arts can be breathtakingly beautiful without being exploitative.

We're proving that you don't have to choose between excellence in aerial arts and maintaining your values. You don't have to compromise your convictions to pursue your passion. You can be strong, graceful, artistic, and dignified all at the same time.

Join Us in This Mission

Whether you're a student, a supporter, or someone who's been wrestling with similar questions about aerial arts, I want you to know: there is a place for you here. There is a way to pursue this beautiful art form that honors both your talents and your values.

Together, we're not just changing how aerial arts is practiced in our community—we're part of a larger movement toward treating all people with the dignity and respect they deserve as image-bearers of God.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Thank you for supporting a vision that values people over profit, artistry over exploitation, and light over darkness.

With love and gratitude,

Ms. Peggy
