What is the Aerialympics?
The Aerialympics is a national competition designed specifically for aerial artists of all ages and skill levels — think of it as the Olympics of the aerial arts world. Competitors perform on apparatuses like silks, lyra, hammock, and trapeze, and are judged on technical execution, difficulty, artistry, and composition. The competition welcomes both amateur and professional aerialists, with events held in person at various locations as well as online.
Eternal Aerial Arts is an approved team studio for the Aerialympics, which means we are officially invited to bring ensembles to compete at the national level.

Do I qualify to compete?
To join the competition team — whether as a soloist or as part of an ensemble — students must have completed Red Levels 1 and 2 of our kids' program, or have received instructor approval confirming they have the foundational skills to compete at a novice level.
Not sure if your student is ready? Reach out and we're happy to help you figure that out!

What does ensemble practice look like?
Each ensemble practices once a week in 90-minute sessions. Every practice includes warm-up, conditioning, skill-building, and cool-down time. The bulk of the session is focused on learning and refining the group piece — and because most ensemble skills involve interaction between performers, consistent attendance is essential. Students joining an ensemble should plan to attend the majority of practices leading up to the competition.

Competition Week: August 3–8, 2026
The Aerialympics Nationals is a full week-long event, and all entries are by invitation only. This year, Eternal Aerial Arts will be bringing two ensembles to compete — and we're excited to have one of our biggest groups yet making the trip to Kansas City!
Throughout the week, students who qualified through regional competitions and In the Wild submissions will also be performing. We'd love for everyone to come out and cheer each other on!
And because we'll have such a great group together, we're planning a bonus group outing on a non-competition day to Worlds of Fun, a local amusement and water park right there in Kansas City. More details on that to come!
